Realme has begun rolling out a new update for its Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G smartphones. This new update brings both devices up to date with the January 2022 security patch. According to the update changelog, some bugs that were present in prior releases have been rectified.
The devices will receive the current January 2022 security patch, as well as better system stability and performance, according to the update changelog. According to the changelog, it resolves a contact search issue that users were experiencing in the built-in Contacts app. The update is now only accessible in India, but it is likely to be released in other countries soon.

Both smartphones continue to run Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11. However, the Realme 8 5G models currently have software version RMX3241_11_A.13, while the Narzo 30 5G models will have firmware version RMX3242_11_A.13.
Users can also check for the most recent version by navigating to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install from the menu. If that doesn’t work, you can also access your device’s recovery mode and download the right firmware file from Realme’s database, which you can then flash later.
Because Realme provides upgrades in stages, a small number of smartphones will receive the update initially, and if no issues are discovered, the update will be rolled out to more devices later.
