If you needed any more proof that Realme is one of the best in Android land when it comes to software updates, look no further than the arrival of the Android 11 update for yet another Realme smartphone. The Realme X2 Pro is now receiving its second major Android OS and Realme UI upgrade, months before it’s set to turn two.
As you would expect, Realme UI 2.0 is accompanying the Android 11 update for the X2 Pro, to be precise. The June 2021 security patch, which is the latest available for multiple Realme devices right now, is bundled as well. Android 11 brings a slightly refreshed user interface and updated Realme apps, along with other features such as three-tone dark mode, private safe and more.
The update is rolling out in India and carries firmware version RMX1931_11_F.11. You can download it over the air right away by opening the phone’s Settings app, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and Install. Alternatively, the Android 11 firmware is waiting for you in Realme’s archives and can be used to upgrade your Realme X2 Pro once you’ve taken the necessary precaution of backing up all your important data.
This is expected to be the Realme X2 Pro’s final major OS upgrade, though the smartphone should still keep receiving security updates for a few more years. Still, this level of support is pretty much unheard of outside of Realme’s portfolio.
