Realme is said to unveil the Realme GT Neo on 31st March 2021 in China and the phone has been spotted on multiple certification websites confirming its existence. Moreover, going by its registration in the IMEI database, the phone should also launch in India. The phone will be a toned-down version of the company’s latest flagship, the Realme GT which debuted in China earlier this month featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The Realme GT Neo is confirmed to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and offer 5G connectivity. Other leaked/rumoured specifications include triple rear cameras with a primary 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack and an iridescent colour. Realme GT Neo Launch Date? Will the Realme GT Neo come to India and other countries?
The Realme GT Neo is set to launch on March 31st in China at 02:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). The event will be live-streamed via the company’s local social media handles online. As for its Indian launch, the phone is expected to launch in India, however, there’s no official confirmation yet.
Realme GT Neo Price
The Realme GT Neo is said to be priced around RMB 2,000 (~Rs 22,000/~$305) for the base variant. That said, if the phone eventually arrives in India, we expect it to be priced around the INR 26,000 mark. However, the prices of the separate variations remain a question for now.
Realme GT Neo Specifications (rumoured)
The Realme GT Neo will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 180hz touch sampling rate, along with a punch-hole cutout on the left corner for the selfie snapper. The display might be covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top for protection.
Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage which could later be expanded via the use of a microSD card. The phone will run on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top and might feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for security along with face unlock.
Other connectivity features might include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. Going by the TENAA listing, the Realme GT Neo will have triple cameras at the back with a 64-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel third lens. The phone may back a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support.
