MediaTek has started a new era of affordable, powerful 5G chips with the Density series of processors, powerful enough to compete with its Qualcomm counterparts, as per reports. Recently, MediaTek announced its flagship chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, with significant improvements over the Dimentsity 1000+, which powered the Realme X7 Pro.
Realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth also teased an upcoming device that will feature the MediaTek flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200. Going by a tipster, Realme will be one of the first brands to release the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 based 5G device. As of now, the Realme X9 Pro is rumored to launch with this processor.
A tipster on Weibo, namely tipped that Realme X9 Pro will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, will come with a left-aligned single punch-hole, a display with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, a 108MP primary camera, a 4,500mAh battery, 65W fast charging, and more.
As per previous reports, the Realme X9 Pro will reportedly run on Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0, will feature a smaller 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone might be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage variants. There are also rumors listing a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 108-megapixel primary sensor and two assisting 13-megapixel sensors. Finally, the phone might pack in a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
That said, the company will soon be announcing the Realme GT globally, featuring the Snapdragon 888 chipset. It would be an interesting comparison between the two.
