Last week, Realme’s CEO started teasing the Realme 8 series on Twitter by tweeting “Work never stops at #realme. I am already working on #InfiniteLeapWith8!” giving us a clear indication that it is coming very soon.
Later, a picture of the speculated Realme 8 series device got leaked, giving us a first look. Salman Khan, who is currently the brand ambassador of Realme, had been spotted holding a device that seemed to belong to the Realme 8 series.
The company showcased a 108-megapixel sensor at the Camera Innovation Event and later confirmed that it would be featured with the Realme 8 Pro. The smartphone will sport a 108-megapixel primary, have a gradient design on the back panel with a Dare to Leap motto imprinted in it. We can also see a led flash below the camera modules.
There’s a tiny punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner for the selfie camera along with narrow bezels. Further, the phone can be spotted in a gradient blue colour, but we can expect other options at launch.
108MP Samsung HM2 Sensor on the Realme 8 Pro
Realme is adopting Samsung’s ISOCELL HM2 sensor, with 1.52-inch in size and offers an effective resolution of 12,000 x 9,000 px. Further, Realme claims that this new technology also features 9-in-1 pixel binning tech which can produce better quality images. The sensor also comes with interesting features including Smart ISO which can automatically select the most suitable ISO according to the setting for optimising picture quality and reducing noise simultaneously.
The sensor will deliver 3X zoom, adds a new Starry Mode with support for timelapse video, tilt-shift, and three new portrait mode filters. Finally, the handset can record videos up to 4K@120 fps.
That said, we’re expecting some more leaks to appear before the launch, confirming the other specifications of the device. What are your thoughts? Do let us know by dropping a comment down below.
