realme, a youth-focused technology firm that has disrupted the global smartphone market, and who is on a mission to shake up the industry even more by making 5G technology more accessible to everyone and placing young people may be planning to step into the electric two-wheeler market. The fast-growing Chinese business, which has sold 50 million units in only nine quarters since its founding in 2018 has grown its presence in India and globally.
Realme Vehicle Trademark Filed, Launch Soon in India?
Realme has sold 100 million smartphones globally quicker than any other brand, including Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Nokia, Huawei, and others that have been in the market for far longer, according to the statistics from Strategy Analytics. Realme’s expansion has been fueled mostly by smartphone sales in China and India.

Surprisingly, the name ‘Realme’ has been trademarked under the ‘vehicles; apparatus for locomotion by land, air or water’ in India. However, the trademark was filed by Realme Mobile Telecommunications (Shenzhen) Co Ltd back in late 2018. While the trademark has been filed, it does not necessarily mean that the company would introduce its product in the category and sometimes it is done so that others would not have the opportunity to exploit it.
But if Realme does have plans to eventually launch a 2 wheeler in the country, then we’re really excited to check out how the brand would approach and target the market. Lately, a lot of manufacturers have entered the two-wheeler market, hence it would be interesting to see how Realme would compete against the likes of Ola Electric Scooters, the Ather Energy Scooter or any other two-wheeler for the fact.
