Realme has released the October 2021 security update to the Realme 8s 5G. The update was also released to the Realme 6 Pro a couple of days ago and to the Narzo 20A earlier today. The new software update is rolling out in India, and probably various European countries, but more markets could get it soon.
The latest software update for the Realme 8s 5G comes with firmware version RMX3381_11.A.06. It includes the October 2021 security patch, which according to some reports, fixes more than 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It also contains general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you do have a Realme 8s 5G and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can also check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from realme’s firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows computer.
Released a few weeks back, the Realme 8s 5G is a budget device featuring a 6.5-inch display. The Realme 8s 5G has a triple camera module that houses a 64-megapixel primary camera with a 2-megapixel B&W portrait camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G processor and is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Both variants have 128GB of storage which is expandable using the dedicated microSD card slot. Realme also has a Virtual RAM feature that lets you use 5GB of storage to extend RAM. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a 33W charger in the box.
