Realme has started to push out the October 2021 security update to the Realme 7 Pro. The update was also released for the Realme 8s 5G and Realme 6 Pro just a couple of days ago. While this new software update has already started to roll out to users in India we expect more markets to get it soon too.
As for the update itself, the latest software update for the Realme 7 Pro comes with firmware version RMX2170_11_C.27 and it includes the October 2021 security patch, which according to some reports, fixes more than 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It also contains bug fixes and system performance and stability improvements.

If you do have a Realme 7 Pro and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can also check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from realme’s firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows computer.
Realme had launched the Realme 7 Pro last year, and it features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The Realme 7 Pro offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the device comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC; there’s a 4,500mAh battery and the rear cameras on the Realme 7 Pro include a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Connectivity options included on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, and a USB Type-C port. You also have a 3.5mm headphone jack for passive listening. The device was originally released with Android 10, but it has been also confirmed to get the Realme UI 3.0 update based on Android 12.
