Realme has unveiled the full line of items for its Android phones that use new technology, the magnetic wireless charging method.
Realme calls it the MagDart system and is essentially a powerful twist on the MagSafe mechanism of Apple’s 12-series iPhone. The 15W MagDart charger, which the business claims is the thinnest magnetic wireless charger on the market, will be the most popular of the MagDart accessories. It can charge a battery from zero to one hundred percent in 90 minutes, far faster than MagSafe, which takes roughly 240 minutes.
MagDart is not just the first of its kind in the Android world, but it’s also more powerful than Apple’s MagSafe, with a peak power of 50W rather than 15W. This 50W magnetic charger uses Realme’s SuperDart charging technology, which is a rebranded version of Oppo’s SuperVOOC and OnePlus’ Warp Charge 65, and comes with its own air-cooling system for maximum performance. The charging speed, according to Realme, is virtually as fast as its 50W SuperDart cable charger. The Realme Flash’s 4,500mAh battery, in particular, will charge from zero to 100 per cent in under an hour.
The bulkiness of this 50W MagDart charger is a drawback, but Realme will also release a small 15W MagDart charging pad that is somewhat slimmer than Apple’s MagSafe charger. This is due to the circuit board is tucked away in the plug, which keeps the charging coil cooler and hence more efficient. It will take roughly 90 minutes to go from zero to 100 per cent for the same phone.
Other snap-on attachments are available in the MagDart ecosystem as well. A MagDart power bank outperforms the MagSafe Battery Pack by acting as a wireless charging stand, allowing you to charge or grab both your phone and the power bank at the same time.
A MagDart Beauty Light, a flip-up ring light with 60 tiny LEDs and adjustable brightness and colour temperature, is also included to keep your selfie game strong. Surprisingly, the reverse wireless charging capability of the phone is used to power this equipment. The self-explanatory MagDart Wallet, which accommodates up to three credit cards in its vegan leather pockets, is another useful addition. Unlike the MagSafe version, however, this one also has a metal kickstand for your phone.
Finally, existing Realme GT owners can acquire a customised case to make their phone MagDart-compatible, however, this will result in a little bulge around the bottom of the backside. There’s no news on when the first MagDart-compatible devices will hit the market, but once they do, subsequent Oppo and OnePlus devices will most likely get to share the love with Realme.
