While Realme India was busy unveiling the Dimensity 700 powered Realme 8 5G in the country, Realme China today held a launch conference where they unveiled three new smartphones namely the Realme Q3, Realme Q3 Pro, and the Realme Q3i.
The new Q3 series is a successor to the Q2 series unveiled last year. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new Realme Q3 and the Realme Q3 Pro.
Realme Q3 Pro Specifications
The Realme Q3 Pro is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC with 4x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, 4x A55s cores along a 9-core Mali-G77 GPU.
The phone flaunts a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 360 Hz touch sampling rate while covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
As for the optics, there’s a triple rear camera with a 64-megapixel primary module with 4K 60FPS video recording, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens bundled with a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies.
The phone is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The Realme Q3 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The smartphone runs Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
The Realme Q3 Pro will be available in a week with a starting price of CNY 1,600. Sales start on April 29 at midnight. There are three color options: dubbed Firefly with a phosphorescent DARE TO LEAP logo on the back, Electric Blue or Gravity Black.
Realme Q3 5G
The Realme Q3 5G on the other hand, is powered by the 8 nm-based Snapdragon 750G chipset. There’s a 6.5-inch LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. The phone promises a peak brightness of 600 nits and 96% coverage of the NTSC color gamut. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, built into the power button.
The main camera is a 48-megapixel shooter, there’s an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (119º) and a 2-megapixel macro lens on the rear. On the front, there’s the same 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The Realm Q3 gets a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W charging. Similar to the Q3 Pro, there is a presence of our beloved 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom, along with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
The Realme Q3 5G will be available in two colors: Psychedelic Silver and Sci-fi Black. Pricing for the base variant with 6GB RAM starts at CNY 1,300 ($200/€165). Pre-orders kick off today, and the first units will be available on April 29.
