Realme X7 Max gets first OTA update with Camera Improvements

We know this was coming, but the Realme X7 Max (RMX3031) is finally getting its first software update in India. As many of you know, Realme first updated the international model (Realme GT Neo) with multiple changes earlier. The company’s turnaround in terms of software updates has been pretty impressive and the X7 Max gets a taste of the same.

Realme customers who own the Realme X7 Max in India should be greeted with a firmware update notification at any moment. As always, owners can also attempt to trigger the update process from the phone’s Settings menu under Software update, or they can visit the company’s firmware archive, download the firmware and flash it manually. The latest update for the X7 Max can be identified by firmware version RMX3031_11_A.15, and surprisingly, it includes the May 2021 security patch instead of the latest June patch.

  • Security:
    •  Update Android May 2021security patch.
  • System:
    • Optimized touching experience.
    • Optimized the power consumption in some scenarios.
    • Optimized the system performance and improved system stability.
    • Fixed the screen flicker in some scenarios.
  • Communication:
    • Optimized network compatibility and improved Internet experience.
  • Camera:
    • Fixed the photo greenish issue in some situations.
    • Fixed the probabilistic green screen issue of the camera preview interface in some scenarios.
    • Fixed the lagging issue of taking photos in the bright environment in 64M Mode using the rear camera.

As for the update itself, the update introduces the May 2021 security patch, along with various improvements to the System (touch, power consumption, and more). The update also fixes bugs with the camera and network. That said, do let us know what you think about the first OTA by dropping a comment down below.
