Realme 5 Pro grabs RMX1971EX_11_C.12 with improvements

The Realme 5 Pro, the company’s first 48-megapixel quad-camera smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712, is now receiving a new OTA update carrying the firmware version RMX1971EX_11_C.12.

The update is based on Realme UI 1.0 with Android 10. The update brings the security patches of February 2021 and March 2021, fixes issues with default ringtone, voice failure issue in PUBG, optimizes the switch logic of Control Center, and brings overall optimization in system performance and stability.

If you still haven’t received the update, head on to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update to check for updates. We recommend you wait for a couple of days to find out whether there are any major bugs with the build or not before you update.

Early access of Realme UI 2.0 for Realme 5 Pro is expected to start in Q3 2021 as per timelines shared by the company. To recall, the Realme 5 Pro features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display, a 48-megapixel quad-camera array and much more.

The device was launched in 2019 and initially ran on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie and later received the Realme UI 1.0 with Android 10 update.
