New Realme 8 update brings February 2022 security patch

Continuing its streak of updates and having updated the GT Master Edition and Realme X7 Max to stable Realme UI 3.0 based Android 12, Realme is now rolling out a new update for the Realme 8 in India. The update brings the Android security patch for the month of February along with a few fixes and improvements.

Realme 8 A.26 February 2022 Security Update

The most recent update for the Realme 8 comes with the February 2022 security patch, which is 300 MB in size. RMX3085_11_A.26 is the build number for the Realme 8 running Realme UI 2.0 on Android 11.

Aside from the security patch, the company has addressed bugs and resolved difficulties where a newly installed app appears on the home screen as an Android icon. Furthermore, the most recent version has repaired minor bugs that will improve the system’s reliability and speed.

  • Security
    • Integrates the February 2022 Android security patches.
  • Home screen
    • Fixes an issue where an “Android” icon might appear on the Home screen after you install an app from Google Play.
  • System
    • Improves system performance and stability.

Realme releases upgrades in stages, so only a small number of Realme 8 phones will get the update at first, and if there are no bugs, it will be sent out to more phones later. Users can also check for updates by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install from the drop-down menu.

This new version is presently being rolled out to Realme 8 customers in India; we believe that other countries will follow suit soon. What are your thoughts on the latest Realme 8 update? Do share your thoughts in the comments box below.
