[Update: A similar update is now rolling out for the Realme 9 5G in India. The update carries the firmware version RMX3388_11_A.03.]
It looks like the Realme 9 5G SE or Speed Edition is receiving its first update in India. The company had recently launched the device globally alongside the Realme 9 5G. The phone also went on sale for the first sale in the country recently. The Realme 9 5G Speed Edition is powered by the Snapdragon 778 5G and features a high-refresh-rate 144Hz display with a triple camera setup.
Now, the company is rolling out a new update for this Realme UI 2.0 based smartphone in India. The new update for the Realme 9 5G and the 9 5G Speed Edition comprises the latest security patch and bug fixes. Let’s take a look at the new A.06/A.03 update for the Realme 9 5G Speed Edition and the regular Realme 9.
Fixes for Stutters Now Rolling Out!
The Realme 9 5G’s first update brings a few improvements to the system and is said to fix issues with the screen refresh rate. The update also upgrades the Android security patch to the month of March 2022. The latest update arrives with the UI version of RMX3461_11_A.06.
- Security
- Integrates the March 2022 Android security patch.
- System
- Fixes an issue where some apps might stutter when the refresh rate could not be switched properly.
- Fixes some known issues to improve system stability.
Because Realme upgrades are rolled out in stages, the update will first be pushed out to a small number of phones, and if no issues are discovered, it will be rolled out to more phones later. Customers in India are currently receiving the upgrade, but we anticipate that additional nations will follow suit soon.
The Realme 9 5G SE is available in two storage options with 128GB of internal storage as standard. The base model has 6GB of RAM and costs Rs 19,999 in India. The higher option with 8GB of RAM is priced at Rs 22,999.
