Realme, the Chinese tech giant, has unveiled new GT series handsets – Realme GT 2, GT 2 Master Edition and the GT 2 Pro in China. The latest GT series smartphone is the company’s most premium smartphone to date. The handset claims to be the world’s first smartphone made with biopolymer material with Master Design. The GT 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 while the elder Pro model comes power-packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Realme GT 2 Series Price
The realme GT 2 series was launched globally on Jan 4th 2021. The GT 2 comes with a starting price of CNY 2,699, for the price, users get 8GB + 128GB storage. There is also a 8GB + 256GB variant costing CNY 2,999 and a top-end 12GB + 256GB variant priced at CNY 3,199.
The realme GT 2 Pro will be available in three variants: 8GB + 128GB costing CNY 3,899, the 8GB + 256GB variant for CNY 4,199, a 12GB + 256GB version costing CNY 4,499 and a 12GB + 512GB variant priced at CNY 4,999.
Realme GT 2 Series Specifications
The realme GT 2 runs on Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 on top. It features a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED LTPO 2.0 display. Under the hood, the phone has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC SoC, along with 6GB of RAM. There is also support for virtually expanding the RAM (Dynamic RAM Expansion) to using the built-in storage.
For photos and videos, the handset has a triple rear camera setup which houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Realme GT 2 also comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery which supports 65W fast charging. The smartphone measures 163×75.8.6mm and weighs 199 grams.
The Realme GT 2 Pro, on the other hand, flaunts a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that has a WQHD+ resolution. The smartphone has an under-display camera that is hidden behind the pixels. Powering the handset under the hood there is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The device packs in up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The handset also has microSD card support which allows extra storage expansion up to 1TB. On the software side of things, the GT 2 Pro boots Android 12 based realme UI 3.0 out of the box.
Coming to the optics department the smartphone features a triple rear camera module at the back comprising of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary, a 50-megapixel secondary ultrawide and a third 2-megapixel microscope camera sensor. On the front side, the device sports a 32MP selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. Connectivity-wise the device offers features such as dual-SIM card support, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB C port.
