Realme, which started off as a smartphone oriented brand with the Realme 1, and later expanded into wearables, hearables and more; has today silently introduced Alkaline Batteries in India. Stacked up as a pair of 10, these have been priced at Rs.159 (~2.19) in the country.
These are available in two variants AA and AAA-rated at 3100mAh and 1250mAh, respectively. The company advertises these with the term “Packed with Energy” mentioning “With high-density cores and a new generation of alkaline battery solutions, Realme alkaline batteries feature a larger and more stable discharge capacity than ordinary carbon batteries. Though they are the same size as ordinary AA or AAA batteries, they are 25% more powerful and don’t need to be replaced as often“.
These new batteries have been fused with powdered graphite, the anode ring is highly conductive, reducing the loss during the charging and discharging process. The high surface area zinc powder along with the unique spherical design can increase the effective reaction area, making the battery response more sensitive and providing long-lasting power, the company claims.

Further, the batteries could be stored for use up to a span of 10 years, feature a double leak-proof technology with two layers of protection: the anticorrosive she’ll and the anti-ageing seal ring. There’s an explosion-proof valve, along with a 3-layer safety mechanism.
Moreover, the company claims that the battery can be put to test for various applications including Remote Controls, RC Toy Cars, Smart Door Locks, Electric Toothbrushes, Alarm Clocks, Wireless keyboard and more.
Finally, the batteries will be available in two colours, namely Bold Yellow and Black, and come with a storage case. The Realme Alkaline Batteries have been tested and certified by the National Light Industry Battery Quality Supervision.
Available for Rs.159 in India at Realme’s Official Store for a pack of 10 batteries, the retail packaging includes 10x Battery, 1x Label Paper, 1x Bubble, 1x Hanging Card, 1x Certificate of Conformity, 1x Color Box and a Carton.
