Realme has introduced the Realme Q3i 5G in China, alongside the Realme Q3 5G and Q3 Pro 5G. The new Realme Q3i 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset, a 48MP triple camera setup, and a 90Hz FHD+ display, and much more. The device is said to be one of the cheapest 5G smartphones in the country. However, it appears that it is a modified version of the Realme 8 5G in China.
Realme Q3i 5G Specifications
The newly launched Realme Q3i 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 90Hz high refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Recall that the predecessor to the Q3i had the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC.
The device is coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The device also supports DRE (Dynamic RAM Expansion) that increases the phone’s RAM capacity by adding virtual memory from the fast UFS 2.1 storage.
The phone measures just 8.5mm in thickness and weighs 185 grams, which makes it slim and light. The device comes with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel B/W lens. At the front, the device has a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in the punch hole.
The phone is being powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Other features on the smartphone include a dual SA/NSA 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Type-C port, and triple card slot for memory expansion up to 1TB. The phone runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Realme Q3i Pricing and Availability
The company has launched the device for 1,099 yuan (~$169) for the base 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant and 1,199 yuan (~$185) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant. There’s an additional 100 yuan discount for the first sale. The device is made specifically for China and is not expected to land in India. The device will be available on china’s e-commerce platforms like JD.com, Suning, and the official Realme China website.
