Realme rolls out January update for Realme U1, Realme 5, 5i, and 5s

Realme has started rolling out new updates for the Realme U1, the Realme 5, Realme 5i, and Realme 5s, featuring the build number RMX1831EX_11_C.23 for the U1 and brings the Android security patch for December 2020 and January 2021, and optimizes system performance and stability. Ont the other hand, the Realme 5 series OTA carries the firmware version RMX1911EX_11_C.63/RMX1925EX_11_C.63/RMX2030EX_11_C.63 respectively and brings the Android security patch for December 2020 and January 2021, fixes the camera issues, issues with renaming a recorded file. While the Realme U1’s OTA update is based on ColorOS 6 with Android 9.0 Pie and Realme 5/5i/5s’s OTA update is based on Realme UI 1.0 with Android 10.

For a quick recap, Realme U1 was introduced back in 2018 with a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD Display, a 13-megapixel dual-camera setup, and more. The Realme 5/5i/5s feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS Display, a quad-camera setup, and much more.

    • Fixed the probabilistic issue that after renaming the recording file in the recording list, the list may appear a splash screen

If you haven’t received the update automatically, head on to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update to check for updates. The update is rolled out in batches and will take some time to reach all devices.
