Realme 6 Pro gets a new update with October 2021 security patch

Realme has released the October 2021 security update to one of its old mid-range smartphones. The security update is now available for the Realme 6 Pro in India, but more markets could get this update over the next few days.

The latest software update for the Realme 6 Pro comes with firmware version RMX2061_11_C.20. According to the official changelog released by Realme, the new update comes with the October 2021 security patch that fixes more than 60 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. It might also contain a few bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you have a Realme 6 Pro and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can also check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows computer.

Released in 2020, the Realme 6 Pro features a 6.6-inch LCD display, comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an octa-core Snapdragon 720G processor. The device gets 6GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 64GB (UFS 2.1) storage, 6GB / 8GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. The device was originally released with Android 10 with Realme UI 1.0, but it now runs on Android 11 based on Realme UI 2.0. Furthermore, it comes with a 64MP rear camera, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens with a 12MP telephoto sensor too.
