Realme has released a new update for the Realme 8 Pro, and this new update brings the December 2021 Security Patch to the device. The December patch has already been rolled out for a bunch of other realme devices including the Narzo 30 and Narzo 30 4G in India before and now the Realme 8 Pro has started to get the update.
The new update comes with realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 onboard. The latest update is rolling out on build number RMX3081_11_A.45 for Realme 8 Pro in India. While the update is currently available in India, we expect more parts of the world to receive the update soon.
As for the changes this new update brings, it comes with the December 2021 security patch along with some other bug fixes and improvements to the system and security. Realme also mentions fixing a bug with Whatsapp, where images would not load frequently.
You can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from Realme’s database and flash it by heading over to the recovery mode of your device.
As Realme rolls out the update in a phased manner, a handful of smartphones will get the update first and the rest of the smartphones should receive the update in the next few days, if no issues are found.
