Realme GT, GT Master Edition to launch in India on August 18: Expected Specifications, Pricing and more

Realme has finally confirmed that the Realme GT coupled withwith the Realme GT Master Edition – will arrive in India on 18 August, 2021. These phones were previously launched in China. The regular realme GT features the Snapdragon 778 SoC, while the Master Edition has the upgraded Snapdragon 870 chipset beneath. These new phones have been designed by the Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukusawa.  The back panels on the GT Master Edition and the Realme GT Master Explorer Edition are influenced by travel luggage (suitcases) that the company claims is to “symbolise the joys of travelling”.

The Realme GT, GT Master Edition launch event will be held at 12.30 PM on August 18, 2021 in India. The event will take place virtually on realme’s social media platforms including YouTube and Facebook.

Realme GT, GT Master Edition Expected Features

The Realme GT Master Edition launched in China features a 6.43-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the all-new 6nm based Snapdragon 778G chipset. A stainless steel frame acts as a cooling layer in order to keep the device from becoming too hot. As for the optics, there’s a 64-megapixel triple-camera on the rear coupled with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter for selfies and video calls.

The phone is backed by a 4,300mAh battery that can be recharged using a 65W fast charger. The Realme GT Master Edition Explorer, on the other hand, packs in the Snapdragon 870 SoC, and shares a lot of similarities with the GT Master Edition. There’s the same stainless steel cooling structure, 120Hz AMOLED panel, support for 65W Super Dart charging and more. Other features on the phone include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, a secondary 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a third monochrome shooter.

Finally, as for the pricing – the Realme GT Master Edition price in China is set at CNY 2,399 (that converts to about Rs 28,000) for the base 8GB+128GB variant and costs CNY 2,599 (~Rs 30,000) for the 8GB+256GB variant. The much power packed GT Explorer Master Edition price is set at CNY 2,899 (~Rs 33,500) for the base variant and costs CNY 3,199 (~Rs 37,000) for the top of the line 12GB + 256GB model.
