Realme GT gets the October 2021 security update with bug fixes

Last week, Realme released the October 2021 security update to the Realme 6 Pro. And earlier this week, the update was released to the Realme 7 Pro and the Realme 8s 5G. The company has now released the latest security patch to the unlocked version of the Realme GT in India and many more countries.

The Realme GT (RMX2202) is getting a new software update in various countries including India. It comes with firmware version RMX2202_11_A.16 and includes the October 2021 security patch. This patch is said to fix over 60 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. The changelog for this update, mentions that it could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Realme GT user in India or any of the countries, you can check for the latest update by heading to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also choose to download the latest firmware file from realme’s firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows computer.

Realme had launched the Realme GT Flip early this year with Android 11-based realme UI 2. The smartphone received the Android 12-based realme UI 3 beta update earlier this month with access to all the new Android 12 features. As for the specifications, there’s a rectangular camera module coupled with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Topping it all up, there’s the Snapdragon 888 SoC, which runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, flaunts a 120Hz AMOLED display, 64MP primary camera sensor, VC Cooling system and more.
