Realme X7 Max with its Dimensity 1200 SoC is undoubtedly a powerful enough smartphone to run AAA titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) or PUBG Mobile smoothly at 90FPS; however, the phone was previously limited to running the game at 60 frames per second. Realme with its RMX3031_11_A.19 update for the Realme X7 Max updates the device to the September 2021 security patch but also unlocks support for 90FPS gaming in BGMI.

90 frames per second are about 50% smoother than 60 frames per second, which is the Extreme frame rate level in BGMI and PUBG, and 100% or double the smoother than 30 frames per second, which is the Ultra frame rate setting. The 90FPS option is perfect for people who prefer considerably smoother gaming than the Extreme frame rate option.
On a smartphone, the refresh rate is the number of times the display refreshes per second it is turned on. The refresh rate of a 60 Hz display is 60 times per second, whereas a 90 Hz display is 90 times per second. Choosing a display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz will allow the user to play games at up to 90 frames per second. It’s smooth if a 90 Hz display generates a new frame per refresh; after all, it’s a 50% increase.
Realme X7 Max: How to Enable 90FPS Support for BGMI and PUBG Mobile
Before starting, make sure you’re on the latest version of realme UI. If you are among those users and haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from realme’s firmware database and flash it manually. Here’s what you need to do next.
- Launch PUBG Mobile or BGMI via the App Drawer.
- Next, head over to Settings and choose Graphics.
- Here, select Smooth and then tap on the option for 90FPS.
- Restart the game and you should be good to go.
