Realme UI 2.0 based March 2022 security update rolling out for Realme C12

Realme is on a roll, updating its mid-range as well as budget-range segment devices with the latest Android Security patches and addressing issues constantly. The Chinese manufacturer recently rolled out updates for its Narzo series, with the latest security patches along with performance and system stability improvements.

Now, the company has started rolling out a new update for its Realme C12 handset. Let’s have a look at the new C.11 firmware update for the Realme C12, all the new features, improvements and changes.

The new update for the Realme C12 for March arrives with the UI version RMX2189_11_C.11 with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. This new update packs in the security patch for February and March 2022 with fixes and optimizations.

The main fixes that one can notice with this new update include the optimization of dual-mode audio, improvement in system stability and performance. Furthermore, the company has fixed the appearance of the Android icon on the home screen after the installation of any new application from the Play Store. Here’s the official changelog of the update:

  • Security
    • Integrates the February and March 2022 Android security patches.
  • System
    • Improves system stability and performance.
    • Optimizes the Dual-mode audio function.
    • Fixes an issue where an “Android” icon might appear on the Home screen after you install an app from Google Play.

Realme rolls out the updates in stages, hence a few Realme C12s will first receive the update, and if there are no bugs noticed, it will be rolled out to more phones later. Users can also check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update and choosing Download and install from the drop-down menu.

If that doesn’t work, you can boot your device into recovery mode, download the necessary firmware from Realme’s database, which you can then flash later. The realme C12 will not be receiving the realmeUI 3.0 update based on Android 12.
