Realme has unveiled the Realme Book Slim, the company’s first laptop in India. The laptop has been circulating in the news for quite some time, but we now get a better look at it. It’s a 14-inch ultrabook that’s thin and light, with 11th-generation Intel Core CPUs, Windows 10, and up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. The laptop has a premium all-metal design and is available in blue and grey.
Corning Gorilla Glass is used to protect the display, which has a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The maximum brightness is 400 nits, and the more squarish aspect ratio allows you to accommodate more vertical material on your screen, requiring less scrolling.
Intel’s 11-generation Core i3 and Core i5 CPUs are coupled with Iris XE integrated graphics to keep performance in tune. To keep thermals at rest, Realme included a dual-fan cooling system. Up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB, PCIe SSD storage are available. A Type-C USB 3, Type-C USB 4/Thunderbolt port, a Type-A USB 3 port, and a headphone jack are among the I/O options. The laptop also includes Wi-Fi 6 and Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers.
Windows 10 covers the software front, with a free upgrade to Windows 11 coming down the road. Realme is also introducing a useful PC Connect function that lets you operate compatible Realme phones over Wi-Fi Direct. The 54Wh battery has maximum durability of 11 hours. The laptop features a USB-C connecting 65W charger and is expected to charge between 0 and 50% in just 30 minutes. It can also be supported by Realme’s 30W Dart Charge solutions on your phones so if you have one you can travel in your luggage with only one charge.
Finally, as for the pricing, the Realme Book Slim’s Intel Core i3 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at INR 46,999 (~$632), the Core i5 version with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will be available for INR 59,999 (~$807). First sales start on August 30 at 12PM. That said, what are your thoughts on the same? Do let us know by dropping a comment down below.
