Reliance Jio in India has introduced three new tariffs that include unlimited data and phone calls. One of the plans has a one-month validity period, while the other two feature a year’s worth of Disney+ Hotstar access. Let’s take a deeper look at Jio’s new Rs 259, Rs 555, and Rs 2999 prepaid recharge plans in India, including their prices, features, validity periods, and everything else you need to know.
Jio Rs 259 Calendar Month Validity Prepaid Plan
The ‘Calendar Month Validity’ recharge plan, priced at Rs. 259, is the telecom operator’s first prepaid plan with an exact one-month validity. In basic terms, the Calendar Month Validity plan is a prepaid recharge that will automatically renew on the same date each month. Let’s assume a user signs up for this plan on March 28th. He must renew the plan on the same day the following month, i.e. April 28th.
The Rs. 259 package offers 1.5 GB of high-speed internet, which drops to 64Kbps when the assigned data is used up. In addition, the package includes unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS messages each day. Furthermore, the package includes a gratis subscription to Jio applications for the duration of its validity. The telecom company has introduced this new recharge plan in response to TRAI’s guidelines, which urged that all telecom operators introduce a plan that renews on the same day every month.
Jio Rs 555, Rs 2,999 Prepaid Plan with Free Disney+ Hotstar Subscription
Jio has also introduced two new prepaid recharge plans, priced at Rs. 555 and Rs. 2,999, respectively. The Indian Premier League (IPL) has recently started in India, thus the telecom company has unveiled these two new schemes to entice cricket fans. Users who recharge with these new plans will receive a one-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile. Since the IPL matches will be broadcast on Disney+ Hotstar, Jio has included a subscription with these new recharge tariffs.
The Rs. 555 Jio plan has a 55-day validity period and offers 55 GB of data. The Rs. 2,999 Jio plans, on the other hand, will be good for 365 days and will include 2.5 GB of data per day, unlimited phone calls, and 100 SMS messages per day. There’s a caveat, though: the telecom brand’s Rs. 555 plan doesn’t include unlimited calling or SMS, although the Rs. 2999 plan does, with a one-year validity period.
Users of Jio may now recharge these new plans using the company’s official website, application, third-party vendors, or by physically visiting one of their stores across India. Users who recharge with either of the Rs. 555 or Rs. 2,999 plans may use the promo code in the Jio app to activate the Disney+ Hotstar subscription.
