Realme UI 2.0 Based January Security Update Rolling Out for Realme 8, 6i, C25y, Narzo 10, and Narzo 10A

Realme has started to roll out the January 2022 update for the Realme 8, 6i, C25Y, Narzo 10, and Narzo 10A. This new update is based on realme UI 2.0. The realme 8, realme 6i, realme Narzo 10, realme Narzo 10A and the realme C25Y are the newest devices to receive the January 2022 Android Security Patch. While more devices are expected to join soon, to date, the Realme C20, X7, GT Neo 2, X3, X3 SuperZoom and Narzo 30A are amongst the device to have received the update.

The new update is based on realme UI 2.0, running Android 11; the latest firmware for Realme 8 is now RMX3085_11_A.24, also the update size sits at about 650MB. Whereas, the Realme 6i comes with the firmware version RMX2002_11_C.17, C25Y gets the firmware version RMX3265_11_A.23, Narzo 10 comes with RMX2040_11_C.12 and the update for the Narzo 10A arrives as RMX2020_11_C.10. The update sizes remain a mystery for now.

While the new update doesn’t appear to bring any major changes, the company does mention that they’ve made improvements to the system stability and performance, along with a fix to WhatsApp where occasionally images could not be loaded. Here’s the latest update changelog for realme 8.

Users can also check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from Realme’s database and flash it by heading over to the recovery mode of your device. Since Realme rolls out updates in a phased manner, a handful of smartphones will get the update first and the rest of the smartphones should receive the update in the next few days, if no issues are found.
