Sure, Android 12 comes with a lot of cool new features, but the ability to take the main colours from your wallpaper and utilise them for system interface components (codenamed ‘Monet’) is one of our favourites. That said, this new feature comes built right in with Android 12, and realme UI 3.0 will not be leaving this behind. Here’s the list of all the realme smartphones that will support dynamic wallpaper based theming with Android 12.
This improved theming system combines the foundations of the RRO and OMS APIs from prior Android versions with Android’s Palette and WallpaperColors APIs to generate a custom theme that matches the current wallpaper. Realme UI 3.0 can now pick up colour schemes from your current wallpaper and apply them to other parts of the OS, exactly like it does on Pixel phones running Android 12. This includes the lock screen, fast settings, and settings menu, among other things. Although the impact isn’t as strong as it is on Pixels, it’s still fascinating to see.
